Boston Celtics vs Cleveland Cavaliers – Game 3

NBA: 8.30 PM EST

May 19, 2018

The Celtics continued their perfect home playoff record with a 107-94 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, to lead the Eastern Conference Finals 2-1. Boston rode a strong 3rd quarter to overcome a halftime deficit and upstage the Cavs’ bid to steal home-court advantage.

Lebron James was magnificent in defeat for Cleveland, tallying a 40-point triple-double, but didn’t find much of a supporting cast in Game 2. All five Celtics starters scored in double figures, showcasing the balanced Brad Stevens attack that has proven to be successful thus far in these playoffs.

It’s no secret – Cleveland does well when Lebron plays well. He is the engine of their offense and is often the spark for a defense that looks incredibly lethargic at times. Game 3 at home feels like an archetype of a Lebron James monster performance. The Cavs desperately need to avoid falling in an 0-3 hole, and James will be looking to put the team on his shoulders in order to do so.
