Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers – Game 4

NBA: 6.00 PM EST

May 07, 2018

The Boston Celtics tallied their first road win of the 2018 NBA Playoffs on Saturday, with a 101-98 overtime win at the Wells Fargo Center to send the Philadelphia 76ers to a 3-0 series deficit.

The C’s were again able to neutralize Aussie native Ben Simmons, holding the rookie phenom to just 16 points in the losing effort. The Sixers posted yet another below-average game from the field, shooting under 40% both overall and from beyond the three-point arc.

Brad Stevens has simply outcoached Brett Brown through three games in this series, despite Philadelphia having been favored in each contest thus far. Stevens has found the right combinations of players to neutralize the high-octane Sixers offense and bring Boston within one game of an unlikely Eastern Conference Finals appearance.

It’s simply time for Philadelphia to show their mettle in this postseason. This is largely their first taste of any sort of extended playoff run with this roster, and they have their backs against the wall. It will be interesting to see how their youthful roster responds, but I expect them to come out firing and try to send this series back to Massachusetts. I’m taking the more talented Sixers side to finally get on the board and win one at home.
