San Francisco Giants vs Chicago Cubs

MLB: 07.15 PM EST

May 26, 2018

The Cubs rallied late in Friday afternoon’s series opener to defeat the San Francisco Giants 6-2 and stop their four-game losing streak at Wrigley Field. The stage shifts under the lights as Chicago will look to clinch a series win at 7:15PM EST.

LHP Jose Quintana will take the rubber for the Cubbies, and he was terrific in his most recent outing against Cincinnati. Q went seven strong innings and scattered just four hits in a winning effort. Right-hander Chris Stratton (5-3, 4.92 ERA) is slated to pitch for the Giants, and he’ll be making his first career start against Chicago.

Quintana has pitched considerably better at Wrigley Field than away from home since being acquired last July, and the Cubs have traditionally struggled in their first sighting of a new pitcher. If one or both of those holds true in tonight’s game, we might be looking at a total that sits comfortably under.
