Houston Rockets vs Utah Jazz – Game 3

NBA: 10.30 PM EST

May 04, 2018

The top-seeded Rockets were surprised by a strong Utah Jazz performance on Wednesday night, falling in a 116-108 result that evened their second-round series at one game apiece. Aussie sharpshooter Joe Ingles was the big story in the Jazz victory, tallying a career-high 27 points en route to a strong Utah shooting performance that saw Quin Snyder’s team shoot 51% from the field.

The Rockets, meanwhile, struggled mightily from the floor in what has become an all too common theme thus far in the postseason. They were again held to under 30% from the three-point arc, and managed just 40% overall. The fact that they managed to lose by single digits despite dismal efficiency is a testament to their ability to generate points from the free throw line, which is often crucial in tight postseason contests.

I think Houston comes out with a chip on their shoulder, and rides a strong James Harden performance to a Game 3 win and a recapturing of home court.
