Indiana Pacers vs Cleveland Cavaliers – Game 5

NBA: 7.00 PM EST

April 25, 2018

The Cavaliers return home for Game 5 against an upstart Indiana team, with whom they’ve split the first four games of their first-round series.

Kyle Korver made critical shots down the stretch in Game 4 to boost the Cavaliers to a tight victory, despite a lackluster shooting performance from basically everyone else wearing the wine and gold not named Lebron James. The King was his usual self, finishing with a gaudy 32/13/7, but didn’t find much in the way of help until Korver’s sharpshooting in the fourth quarter.

Indiana has been competitive in every game in this series, despite not having one particular player be the major offensive force throughout. Victor Oladipo shined early in the series, but it was winger Bojan Bogdanovic who shot the Pacers to victory in Game 3, and then a well-balanced attack led the way in the Cavs 104-100 Game 4 win (seven Pacers scored in double figures, with nobody reaching 20).

I think Game 5 will finally be the game where it all comes together for the Cavs. We know what to expect out of Lebron, but his supporting cast hasn’t provided much help in the first four games in this series. I think at Quicken Loans Arena, that will all turn around very quickly, as Lebron will look to get his teammates involved early and hopefully start hot. On the backs of a crowd and city that is becoming accustomed to postseason success, I wouldn’t be surprised if Cleveland rolls in Game 5.
