Indiana Pacers vs Cleveland Cavaliers – Game 7

NBA: 1.00 PM EST

April 29, 2018

Indiana blasted the Cavaliers at home in Game 6 to send their first-round series to a decisive seventh game on Sunday night in the heart of Ohio. The Pacers were the better team in every facet of the game in the 121-87 win.

Sunday night’s contest will mark the first time in Lebron James’ career that he will be forced to play a winner-take-all game in the first round of the playoffs. The Cavaliers were expected to coast through the East bracket and were the favorites to reach the NBA Finals at the start of the postseason, but a lacklustre performance from everyone but Lebron has left fans and analysts wondering which Cavaliers team will show up on any given night.

At the risk of being burned by yet another sluggish Cleveland outing, I have to back the best player since Michael Jordan to put the team on his shoulders and win the series in front of his home crowd. James will be concerned about what a first-round upset will do to his legacy and will do everything in his power to carry the Cavs to a win. The first five games of the series went under, and when I capped Game 6 as an under the Pacers exploded for 121 points and hit the over. The Cavaliers have underwhelmed as home favorites ATS and Indiana has been one of the best teams in the NBA all year in covering spreads. I’m bucking the trend in Game 7 and looking for the Cavaliers to come out with a chip on their shoulder.
