Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have emerged as one of the strongest playoff teams in the Eastern Conference, winning for the second straight time in Miami 106-102 to extend their series lead over the Heat to 3-1.

Philly featured a balance scoring attack in Game 4, with sharpshooter JJ Redick leading the way 24 points. Dwyane Wade continues to turn back the clock for Erik Spoelstra’s team, chipping in another 22 points in a series where he’s become a major offensive contributor.

Despite the 208 total points, neither team shot the ball particularly well; with both teams under 43% from the field, and a combined 14-50 (28%) from beyond the arc. The reason for the high combined totals this series (Game 4 was the lowest thus far) is because the teams are playing at the highest pace of any series thus far in the playoffs.

The only other game that featured this type of shooting futility from the field, and that was Miami’s lone win in the series; a 113-103 victory in Game 2. Philly followed that performance up with a 128-point outburst in the following game, and I think we’ll see a similar performance as the Sixers will want to close this out in front of their home fans in style. Taking the over.
