Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics – Game 7

NBA: 8.00 PM EST

April 28, 2018

The Celtics prevailed in a pivotal Game 5 that showcased both defenses, as Boston defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 92-87 at the TD Garden to take a 3-2 series lead and leave the Bucks one game away from elimination.

The addition of Marcus Smart back to the lineup after injury proved to be essential to the C’s defense, as they held Milwaukee to their lowest point total by far in the series. The Bucks offense was neutralized, as the Boston D held the Greek Freak to just 16 points and kept Milwaukee under 40% from the field.

However, the Milwaukee offense has been a different animal on their home floor, averaging 109ppg in the two games there this series. Obviously, the perimeter defense of Marcus Smart could prove to be a differentiating factor in Game 6, but the set total of just o/u 199 leaves a lot of wiggle room for either offense to have a field day.
