Oklahoma City Thunder vs Utah Jazz

NBA: 10:00 PM EST

April 21, 2018

The 4-5 series in the west shifts to Salt Lake City all square as the Utah Jazz will play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder Saturday night. Utah weathered a 19-0 3rd quarter OKC run and pulled out a victory late in Game 2 to even the series at one game apiece.

Donovan Mitchell again led the way for Quin Snyder’s Jazz team, with 26 more points to continue his impressive rookie campaign. The Big 3 of the Thunder were all kept reasonably in check by the Utah defense, finishing just 19-58 from the floor in the loss.

Oklahoma City is a remarkably average road team (just 21-20 during the regular year), and will again be tasked with overcoming the stout Utah defense on Saturday night. Game 3 is often the pivotal contest in determining the eventual winner of a series tied 1-1, so expect the Utah crowd to be raucous early and try to will their team to a hot start on both ends of the floor.

If the Jazz perimeter defense can keep Paul George and his postseason sharpshooting in check, I like them to have a very good chance to overcome the OKC superstars and use a balanced attack to propel them to a series lead.
